My two oldest Cub Cadets are a 1965 and a 1968. I semi-retired them several years ago. Takes over 6 hours to mow with them, only 4 hours with the CC 982 super garden tractor, Cub Cadet Tank zero turn only 2-1/2 hours. Which one would you use?
I will say that 1965 Cubbie has mowed a LOT of grass, mowed two farm yards for eight years, then mowed the larger one for another 34 years. The stock Kohler 7 hp engine was rebuilt once , replaced with an 8 hp, and it was replaced in those first 8 years.
