Hello everyone, i had posted a year ago about buying a tractor and things got busy and never got a chance. So, my wife and i bought 15 acres last spring in southwest Michigan to become self sufficient and be in a quiet area. we did most the work last year by hand and though we do like the growing we don't like the weeding. so what are looking for i something that can till the clay soil for prep and to keep the weeds at bay. I have looked all over and there are just so many options. i have looked at the ford 2000 and looked into it more and they said the clutch starts getting tricky with the tiller. we went to a local tractor guy that said that a kudoba b7500 might do the trick but want to see what you folks had in mind about those option and maybe other options that would work. also we would like to keep it under 8k if possible and also looking for something that would handle a front loader any advise would be great. p.s. we are growing veggies like tomatos, zucchini, squash, pumpkins, beans, onions and peppers. thanks look forward to everyones advise!

The young person asking questions received positive feedback and advice from total strangers who "told it like it is" with the care many reserve for their own kids. The advice is timeless... so although it isn't necessarily antique tractor related, it will be prominently displayed in our archives to honor those who have the courage to ask and those who have the courage to respond in an honest, positive manner.
