First of all thanks to everybody who replied. Its nice to have a place where folks want to help and not just point out what a dummy you are. After more research it turns out I do have eastern red cedars. The soil here is terrible. Red clay which is like concrete when dry and like owl snot when wet. Our top soil is a sandy loam the locals call blow sand. Very thin in the fields and thicker near structures like trees, fence lines, buildings, etc. I want to get rid of 99% of the cedars but will keep a couple of the really giant ones. We have plenty of huge live oak, post oak, and blackjack trees to make it pretty. I would like to be able to run a few head of cattle but right now our main crop seems to be ticks, chiggers, and scorpions. There is a guy about 40 miles from me that cleared his place with what looks like a mid 50s case dozer. It has a stinger built on the blade to push trees over. Ill check to se if he wants to sell it. If not Ill try the $50 per hr guy. :D
