Like most manufacturers, Bad Boy makes mowers in different grades for different mowing requirements. The ZT Elite is a residential grade mower. The Maverick is a commercial grade mower. There are other differences too. I believe the Maverick has a suspension system that the ZT Elite does not. Do you need a residential mower for a normal yard, or do you need or want a commercial grade?
Mine is a Lightning Z, which is a commercial grade mower that weighs 1200 pounds and is built like a tank. It has 4 wheel independent suspension and a suspension seat, that I have never regretted paying the extra price for. I have been mowing 4 acres with it for 7+ years with nary a problem. It was an $8500 mower when new 8 years ago. I don't baby it, and it will probably out last me. I'm not rich and that was a substantial expenditure for me, but considering the expected lifespan of the thing based on performance so far, I consider it one of the best purchases I ever made.
