My FIL bought a Nuffield 4-60 from R D Smith and sons of Norwich NY when they were first imported to the US,early 60s I think. He already had 2 MF 65s he had bought from them. He never had a problem with it even tho it was recalled because a cylinder was bored at a slight angle. He used it that way until Smith was able to get a new engine and install it. He used it for years on his hill farm. It did have kind of an oddball PTO on it. A short lever on the side of the trans for putting it in or out of gear, and a longer lever as a clutch. Never operate the tractor with the clutch lever pulled back, disengaged, for very long except when using it. His came with a cab on it. Used it to pull a 4 bottom MF plow 16 inch. The cab was nothing like today's cabs. I thought it was a pretty good tractor.
