Usually it's bad news when you run a diesel out of fuel. The last remaining amounts of fuel you suck up are loaded with dirt and water from the bottom of the tank. Recommend replacing the fuel filter and filling it with fuel, if possible, on installation. Fill the tank as high as possible to promote better recovery. If you have a primer pump, pump the system up till you get a solid stream of fuel to the injection pump. You may need to break loose the fuel line at the pump or break loose a bleed screw. Tighten line or bleeder and then break loose all the high pressure lines at injectors. Hope you still have a hot battery, because now you need to spin the engine over till fuel comes out all the lines. Once you have fuel at the injectors it's time to tighten them up. You are now ready to crank it.Hold the throttle wide open and try to start it. Once it hits off hold the engine at fairly high RPMs to remove the rest of the air thats in the system. Good luck with the MF and hope you find enough arrowheads to send me one! Diesel Dan (the pump man) O---[o{]
