Made it home this afternoon with no breakdowns or problems. Sunday I left with the trailer and an Oliver 1850 on it and drove to Washington, Ia for the WMT Eastern Iowa Tractorcade. 3 day ride leaving and retuning to Washington each evening. Monday we went from Washington to West Chester, Keota, Wellman, Kalona, Riverside, Richmond and back to Washington,84.5 miles. Tuesday we left Washington and went to Brighton, Rubio. Richland, Ollie, Sigourney, Harper, Keota, West Chester and back to Washington,82 miles. Hottest day of the ride. Wednesday we left Washington and went to Rubio, Lake Darling, Brighton and back to Washington, 42 miles. It was a good time, well organized, there were 6 groups of tractors leaving at different times, I was in the last group, so it was always about 6:30 when we got back to Washington. They had fuel trucks at the Fairgrounds in Washington Monday and Tuesday when we got back if you wanted fuel. I used 10 gal diesel on Monday and 11.5 gal. on Tuesday. I met lots of great people, saw some new country and lots of tractors, I heard there were 450 tractors. Hi to anyone who was there that I met and reads this. Now I can saw that I drove my Oliver thru Ollie. Ready to sleep in my own bed and go back to work tomorrow. Chris

Today's Featured Article - 12-Volt Conversions for 4-Cylinder Ford 2000 & 4000 Tractors - by Tommy Duvall. After two summers of having to park my old 1964 model 4000 gas 4 cyl. on a hill just in case the 6 volt system, for whatever reason, would not crank her, I decided to try the 12 volt conversion. After some research of convert or not, I decided to go ahead, the main reason being that this tractor was a working tractor, not a show tractor (yet). I did keep everything I replaced for the day I do want to restore her to showroom condition.
