Got a farmall 656 diesel tractor project that I picked up cheap. Tractor runs drives great the only issue I have is when you pop the clutch fast from changing gears you can hear a sound such as gears binding or something being lose clunking. Don’t know much about international tractor more of a John Deere guy not to bash international fans I am the type that as long as it gets me from point a to point b. Any way had two people tell me that a bearing was bad. Jacked up both axles and soon tries freely and heard what appeared to be gears ingaging in the drive train on rear axle when spinning wheels both of them did it put tractor in gear and tires locked up as it would be in gear not much play in the gears just by rotating tires. Wanted to see what other people have had in the past also left brake doesnt engage all the great right brake engages good. Apologize for the long post but I don’t know much about these type of tractor don’t even know if you can get parts for the drive train anymore?
