I suspect there is a lot more to the "math" than the calculations you are making. It couldn't be quite that simple I don't think. I see some fertilizers for sale with zeros in the formulas so a guy might ask, why would I ever buy that? I'm sure that someone that is selling it (a pro and not a store clerk) could hopefully explain how this all works.
