I can surely understand. Growing up in a rural area south of I 10 in South Central Texas fireworks were not part of the 4th. The VFD prohibited it fearing wildfires. I never saw a large display until July 4, 1982 after we moved here just south of Austin. There is a big display down on the lake running thru downtown, normally the Symphony plays and they fire National Guard howitzers during the 1812 Overture. Don't go now. I hate the crowds, the traffic and the parking. My late wife and I went to the third Willie Nelson 4th of July Picnic in 1975 too. Don't do that either. Happy 4th y'all

Today's Featured Article - Restoration Story: Fordson Major - by Anthony West. George bought his Fordson Major from a an implement sale about 18 years ago for £200.00 (UK). There is no known history regarding its origins or what service it had done, but the following work was undertaken alone to bring it up to show standard.
