That looks like a unit off a WD45. Many D17's had a power steering pump, and a tach. drive.
Without research I don't know if the combine engine gear/weights are different from the tractor. The big difference is that the combine governor has an adjustment screw built in, which sets working speed. The "throttle" control on the combine goes to the carb. shaft, and overrides the governor, allowing you to slow the engine down. Whereas on the tractor the "throttle" control is actually a governor control, so that you have "governed" control of the engine at all speeds.
