We too have been dry in the summer and very little snow in the winter. We get more rain than we need in spring and fall.
I've hear stories where people would cut ice from the river in the winter and sell it in summer for ice boxes. Good thing we have refrigerators. It's been a long time since I've seen the river freeze over.
I think mother nature is going to do whatever she wants to do.
