I ran snow plow for 15 years or so, one day during a nasty snow storm I was heading back tot he hyard for another load of sand,, a CAT parts delivery truck that makes runs every day to the local coal mines turned off the main hwy in front of me, I seen something come off the bed and hit the road and went Sliding about 80 feet down the road and came to a stop,, I stopped and looked to see what it was it was a 10' long 1" x 8" cutting edge,, think it was for a 988 loader but forget for sure now,, my partner who drove truck on the same route helped me get it on my snow plow and then I used it to lift it high enough we could slide it in my buddy truck box,, these were twin screw KW's were running and getting that 300lb plus chunk of slick Cold iron loaded on a major hwy was no fun,, we took it to the Cat dealer and they hardly said thank you even,, I was like gee we busted our butts to get it back and save the State plow trucks from hitting it and thats all you can say? he did offer us each a cat hat,,, like we did not have boxes full of them already lol cnt
