So I’ve got a Minneapolis moline RTI-M that came from an Air Force base. At some point it got painted a red like primer color over the prairie gold. I talked to a buddy of mine that was in the Air Force about the numbers on the side of the equipment. He said about where the numbers were and what I should be looking for. So I wet sanded the side of the hood and sure enough there they were. As he said there was 2 numbers 1 letter and then a series of more numbers. The first two numbers designates the year. The letter designates what it was used for. Then the last set of numbers was the number of units bought that year. What I would like to know if somebody knows what the letters mean? My buddy couldn’t remember what they were designated for. Mine has the letter B on the hood. Thanks for looking!
