I agree with everything George and JS Seller have said. I have insurance here in Virginia, it's not too expensive. One more thing to consider if someone walks onto your place with or without your permission and get hurt (puts their foot in a gopher hole) they can sue you and you pay. Do you have your place posted--no hunters? Can you really prevent it? Does the dummy slip and fall? You pay the posting doesn't prevent being sued. This happens in town but the amount of ground is smaller and more easily controlled. If someone happens to slip on your icy sidewalk you also get sued.
