I am recalling that I ran into that when I was looking for used brake drums for my 1965 Chevy we overhauled back in Automotive Mechanics class. I am thinking that you can use the tapered roller bearings from a 1965 or 1966 in there. (Or else use the entire hub from a 1965, I forget which.) But because the tapered bearings probably tolerate more pre-load, you probably need to convert both inner and outer bearings to tapered if you go that route.
