Let me give you a practical example. I have an old tractor for sale for $5000. It is on Craigslist and sits by the road with a for sale sign. Now this is an "AS IS " sale..you buy it you own it. The tractor has several problems...antifreeze in the oil, bad hydraulics, multiple inside patches in the tires. But that is for me to know and you to find out.
