The last new computer in this household was bought in 2007, my Wife went and bought it without my knowledge and it was running Vista. I've been piecing together bits and pieces of old computers for years. I had Linux Ubuntu installed on it long before Microsoft stopped supporting Vista. I set it up to be a dual boot system, I can boot it into Vista or Ubuntu.
My old Dell that I got out of a lawyers office is what I've been using for years and I had it just the way I liked it, running fast on Ubuntu. It just decided that it was time to go, I've got it narrowed down to one of 2 things that failed on it, the motherboard or the processor went to crap. So I'm working on another Dell that I bought off the state. I'll be happy when I get it pu and going so I don't have to look at this tiny screen on this laptop, 15 inch. I have three operating systems on this laptop, Ubuntu, Ubuntu Studio and KX Studio, a triple boot laptop.
I don't really much like MS Windows, Microsoft's view is that they own your computer if their software is on it.

Minus two kids, we traveled light with only the youngest in tow. As long as a pool was at the end of our destination she was easy to please unlike the other two who have a multitude of requirements to travel with mom and dad. Amana Colonies served as a respite where we ate a family style lunch that sustained us with more food than could reasonably fit into our ample physiques. The show at Ankeny
