I suspect there is a block drain somewhere. Finding it, getting it out, and poking the passage open may be a different story though...
With the coolant being 10 years old, it will need to be flushed. If you can find a plug in the head, or near the thermostat, and can get it out, remove it. If not temporarily remove the thermostat.
Start the engine, bring the RPM up, hang the water hose in the radiator and let it flow water out the removed plug, or let it overflow the radiator for several minutes until the water is clear.
Then remove the lower radiator hose and let the water drain. That will get the majority of the water out. Replace the plug or thermostat. Then refill with the recommended coolant.
