What tractor you got, and are you welding up your own three point adaptor or are you buying one and just need to add cylinders to it?
There are so many options and answers to your question, it is hard to really help you.
Help us, by narrowing it down to where we can really answer you.
The fatter the cylinder the more it will lift, but slower.
An older tractor has less hyd pressure, and so will lift less. A worn old tractor has a leaky hyd pump and will lift even less.
Old tractors might only put out 1000psi hyd pressure, less if they are worn down.
A new tractor might put out 2400psi.
So........
Again, what tractor or what psi does it put out, and what weight of load are you wanting to lift, and how is the geometry of the 3pt hitch.... there are just too many variables to really help you yet.
