Was gone this weekend and didn't work on the steering but thought I would start slow and change filter first.
Does anyone know the NAPA number for the steering pump filter?
I would think there would be some movement in the steering standing still but maybe not by the comments. It is damp around but not dripping. The fluid is clear but not an ATF. The pump is not noisy and the belt needs to be replaced but does not seem to slip. I just do not hear any typical pump or hydraulic sounds when trying to steer. The tractor does not seem to pull down. There is a grease zerk on the front of the cylinder and I have not taken it out yet. I'm thinking of the filter change then maybe looking into rebuilding the cylinder. Seems like most have started there.
