I too believe that it was cut durring the flood in Noah's time. One year we had some really deep snows here in Colorado. In the spring all that snow started to melt rapidly. The loco managers had lake mead almost full. All that water came down the Colorado River and quickly filled lake mead and the spillways at the dam could barely keep up. Anyway the found that the water had ate away something like 8 or 10 feet of the best concrete made in 24 hours, at the bottom of the spillways. If the water had gone over the top They were afraid that They would loose the dam.They call it cavitation. It can eat thru solid granite rock. And this was a tiny, tiny, tiny, flood compared to the great flood.
