I have tried to lower the lift in both positions.

The only way i can get it to lower so far is to dis engage the pto.

I am going to try to hook a set of hsrrows that weigh about 1k pounds and see if it will unstick the valve that majorman suggested.

My interest makes me want to pull the cover, just to say i have done it, but if i can get it to break loose, i will have gladly wait to pull the cover !
