Nothing wrong with Charter, they have been making them a long time. I am a single action fan. But if i wanted a double 357 in a Ruger, I would look at a Ruger gp100. A little more than the Blackhawk. Looking at those 2, you must have a budget set. I own a Rossi m971 double/single 357 and an older Ruger blackhawk 357 with fixed sights. The Rossi is the smoothest action of any of my wheel guns including my Colts. Very accurate too. Think I paid about 250 for the rossi used. Both of your choices are going to go bang with every trigger pull. Just a matter of which fits your hand better and smoother action. Neither is the best out there, but far from being the worst. 2 different styles. The Charter will have adjustable sights, the Blackhawk may or may not depending on year and model. New model BH is adjustable. Look at warranty on both also.
Charter was good enough for David Berkowitz, but in .44.
