They eat some for sure,, main loss I see is alfalfa seed,, they eat 3000-30,000 a year worth of that in my fields but I was told by the game and fish that this is not a alfalfa seed country so that explains that lol,, they pay a multi millionaire just east of me so much a head for deer per head if he has too many on his fields I reminded them of that and they told me I did not have the money he does to fight about it,, they are right on that point, the geese in the spring eat the snot out of my hay barley when it is first growing,, in a dry year they will eat it until it no longer grows back,, they get 5-10 acres a year that way that I can see, in that I see more damage form them than the speed goats, but I do have to bunch my round bales quickly and get the small squares picked up within a day or so or they will have them torn to bit as the bucks like to fight with them
