: My gas ford 2000 isn't running all of a sudden. It started acting up this morning(I haven't used it for two weeks). It starta ok using full choke then beggins to misfire and after 5 to 10 seconds stalls out completely. The choke has no effect once it begins to go. It won't start right away but if I let it sit a while it will again repeat the start/stall problem. I have checked the plugs and it seems to be getting gas. At least it's getting to the carburator. Any thoughts? Sounds like it needs a capacitor in the distributor. My MF-135 did that a few years ago. Check the carburetor inlet screen by removing the drain plug from the bottom of the carburetor (if there is one). I had a neighbor's JD2020 in my back yard last summer that plugged the inlet screen so it would show lots of fuel by loosening the line, but only a splash and no drips after pulling that float bowl drain plug. Look for a continuous stream out of the float bowl drain, not just drips. Gerald
