It might look nice but its the worst possible scenario for us at harvest time. We have had several snows already. The last one has almost melted and there is hope we might harvest a little more crop before real winter. Its mind boggling to think of the millions (billions?) worth of crop still left in the fields in Western Canada. Its happened here before but its always bad news. Spring harvested crop is usually garbage and a lot of lost money. I've got this old photo from the 1930s showing snow on the sheaves here.

There is no known history regarding its origins or what service it had done, but the following work was undertaken alone to bring it up to show standard.
