So your magic mix is Berryman at 10-1? So about 12 ounces per gallon of gas? I know nothing of this product but did look it up. Info I found was 1 ounce per gallon of fuel. Am I missing something here? 40/1 may or may not be right, depending on the saw. More oil is not always better. Mid grade gas and proper oil ratio is what cools a two stroke saw. At 50/1 that's very little oil for lubtcation. Cooling of a 2 stroke also does a majority of the work. Are you sure the smell is varnish or your magic mix? Just my thoughts,
