What does that mean? Does the fan come on? Does the oil gun come on?
If it's just the fan, I wouldn't worry. Some HP the fan is on low after unit is off to circulate air.
Have you ever crunched numbers to see how much it costs you to burn oil? Price/BTU's? My old oil furnace used about 1 Kw/hr, fan, ign transformer and gun motor.
My numbers to burn oil were about the same as using electric resistance heat.
I added more insulation and converted all my rentals to electric baseboard heat. No more service calls to repair oil furnace.
