My town in southern NH is your perfect example of a sleepy country town that has had newcomers come in and turn everything upside down. We are an easy 50 min. commute from the 128 Boston beltway where thousands of executives make over $1,000,000/year. They all want to raise their kids in the country. Well here we are. in 1976 the population was 1976. Now it is nearly 5,000. They all want a full suite of town services. Everything the school wants they get. Whether you want it or not you still have to pay. One good thing is that many need to have their own hobby farm with some horses, and they all like to brag about paying $15.00/ bale for their wonderful hay :)

Today's Featured Article - Restoration Story: Fordson Major - by Anthony West. George bought his Fordson Major from a an implement sale about 18 years ago for £200.00 (UK). There is no known history regarding its origins or what service it had done, but the following work was undertaken alone to bring it up to show standard. From the engine number, it was found that this Major was produced late 1946. It was almost complete but had various parts that would definitely need replacing.
