That’s in a perfect world where when the piston is at bottom dead center of the intake stroke and there is 14.7 PSI in the cylinder. Since there is some restriction on the air movement into the cylinder through the air cleaner if connected, associatiated piping to the intake manifold, the manifold, the intake port and valve opening all these things working against the movement of the piston to create an area of displacement...blah-blah... basically lack of 100 per volumetric efficiency. The actual compression pressure will be some percentage less than the idea calculation. Sorry, I can’t tell you what that percentage is. I am sure there is a compression value worked up by a engineer that can be found in a manual somewhere for this fine machine.
