I hear the number is now upwards of 14,000 people.
I don't follow the news and don't know enough about this incident to throw out claims, but let's look at some things. First, it "does" seem extremely interesting that this would happen just before election.
As for their numbers, I would assume that number will grow regardless of whether there is any behind-the-scenes influences [at this point] or not, simply because there are still MANY people who have a dream to come to America. They many see this group, and the group may be claiming that they will be allowed access if the group is large enough. So if you lived elsewhere and had that dream, wouldn't you drop your life and join the convoy, just in case it's true? Traveling with such a group must certainly be safer than traveling with illegal guides. I can see the number continuing to climb.
I'm not saying this is what's happening -- only that it's a possibility. It would also make sense that if there are political intentions here, that using the largest number of honestly-innocent people would be the best way to engage their political enemy. I would hazard to guess that the VAST majority of people involved in the caravan are simply folks who have a dream of coming here.

I was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. Not a place one would associate with farms or farm machinery. I credit my parents for instilling a lot of good values, a respect for learning, a knowledge of various skills and a little knowledge of farming in me, amo
