I went down to the lower farm and finished off the 43A bean field there where all the ledge rock is. Boy did the new shears want to hook slabs of limestone out of the ground. Finished off the last few acres down there without any further damage to the plow, but had to go real easy and stop and raise plow when I hooked into ledges. I was tripping sometimes 3 bottoms at once. I moved back up to the home farm now. I opened up another bean field where the soil is deeper. I only made 3 bouts there and came home. There was one low spot that was greasy and I was spinning a bit and had to cheat the depth a bit which compromised the quality of the job.We had a lot of rain Wed -yesterday. Tomorrow it should be better. The sun is out and a nice light breeze is blowing. I came home and popped a top on a barley pop and said mission accomplished for today.
