Probably growing through private investment versus Farm Credit, commercial lender, etc.. You get a bad year or two all at once and you have an understanding investor you can ride out the rough times short term. A lot tougher to get Farm Credit to lend you to get to the point of "too big to fail" anymore and if you are with a commercial lender and going deep into a second bad year soon they are asking you to think about your "retirement" sale.
