The plan of buying the two wheel then trading up is alright but finding a sale for the two wheel is tough. Do not let anyone tell you the up keep of the four wheel drive is very costly. Yes IF you have a bearing go down it does cost more but over-all just not a lot of front end trouble. That tractor you are looking at is a very good model and gives very good service but like all two wheel KUBOTA the front axel is not built for heavy loader lift and carry work. Could you get buy with it yes, is it better than a wheelbarrow yes but is it what you really need , in my opinion no. As far as mowing with a four wheel unit no noticeable difference , if anything the four wheel seems to do better especially if you have any hills or grades. One last thing and I will let you go about 87% of kubotas sold are four wheel drive so that should tell you something.
