I tried to get DISH and am still not sure they have quit fighting. When the installer showed up he was supposed to bring the contract; however when he got here said it's coming. He went ahead and installed (the product is very nice) and started to leave and I again asked for the contract which was on his tablet. After reading it there a couple of changes I wanted to protect me, the customer, He got on the phone and their agent said they would send the corrected contract, never happened. The price was not stable and kept rising AND they wanted to direct withdraw from my bank account. When the bill finally came there was a contract attached that was different from the one shown when installing. I paid the bill with a check to a P.O. box listed on the bill and their web site. The next month got another bill adding interest because "I hadn't paid the first bill". So this time I paid the money to put a stop on the first check and sent a check for the new bill with receipt required for delivery. The Postmaster signed it when it was put in the P.O. box--it was never picked up. I have talked to the headquarters to no avail. They have sent TWO collection companies after the money both of whom don't come back after I tell the story. Something is wrong with the way their business is set up and run and they do not fix it. I will not do business with them. Some of my neighbors deal with these people by opening a bank account which empty except when the bill is paid. And give that to DISH for direct withdrawal.
There are other companies which provide internet/TV service; they require direct line-of-sight and are somewhat expensive.

Today's Featured Article - Restoration Story: Fordson Major - by Anthony West. George bought his Fordson Major from a an implement sale about 18 years ago for £200.00 (UK). There is no known history regarding its origins or what service it had done, but the following work was undertaken alone to bring it up to show standard. From the engine number, it was found that this Major was produced late 1946. It was almost complete but had various parts that would definitely need replacing.
