We got tired of the Direct TV prices too. We only watch a few of the channels so it is no bargain to pay for channels we never watch. I'm not a sports fan and have never watched a football game. Car races I could watch or tractor pulls definately.
They ran fiber optic cable by our place so we opted to connect with them. We get our home phone, high speed internet, and TV cheaper than quest home phone/internet, and direct TV. Quest only offered a 12 megabit Internet where the fiber high speed is a gigazone for the first year all installation was free, then we can drop to 250 megabit speed. All this is cheeper than Derect TV, Quest package bundle. The wireless boxes on two of our TV's work great. It is only a Cat 5 cable to the main DVR. I can even get TV in my garage 80' away wireless.
