It"s a reversed WD AC tractor, with ? loader. I built one in the late 70s, one of the two tractors I started farming with in "72. Still have it. Had no money to buy a skidloader, so reversed the WD.. Reversing is easy...jack up rear, take wheels off, axles out. Unbolt pumpkin, flip it over, bolt everything back in. Tractor has 4 speeds to the rear, one to the front. Reversing controls is...possible, with some creativity. Seat is on gas tank, brakes and clutch are reversed, extra hyd pump mounts under radiator, or in front, driven by crankshaft. Gives excellent traction, can dig out rocks bigger than what loader can lift...bulldoze them to edge of field. Only been stuck once with it. In the pic, I"m not sure what is all in front, under that extension. I like the corn picker shields on the tractor.

But, on the other hand, there is a secret language that our mechanical companions readily do speak. It is an interesting form of communication that involves all the senses of the listener. In this series we are going to investigate and learn the basic rudimentary skills of understanding this lingo.
