I know just what you are talking about. I have my soon to be 18 yr old dog on my lap. Every morning we look to be sure he is breathing. He can hardly move, his poor little back legs are just about wore out. He wears a diaper like a lot of old guys. All I ever had to say was "lets go feed cows" and he was there, the NH 7635 is his tractor. He hauled a lot of bails, fed lots of cows, planted many acres of beans. I still take him along if the cab is warm enough, doubt he'll make another season, but time will tell. We dug his spot under the tree a couple of weeks ago before it froze too hard just in case. Today's Featured Article - Oil Bath Air Filters - by Chris Pratt. Some of us grew up thinking that an air filter was a paper thing that allowed air to pass while trapping dirt particles of a particles of a certain size. What a surprise to open up your first old tractor's air filter case and find a can that appears to be filled with the scrap metal swept from around a machine shop metal lathe. To top that off, you have a cup with oil in it ("why would you want to lubricate your carburetor?"). On closer examination (and some reading in a AC D-14 service manual), I found out that this is a pretty ingenious method of cleaning the air in the tractor's intake tract.
