I owned several S44 and 440 tractors back in the 80's seems most of them were sold in VA/NC tobacco growing areas back then they could be had for around a thousand$ after tobacco started going downhill.That tractor is missing some parts that'd make it worth that kind of money in my opinion.I've seen better examples for sale/sell in the last few years for under $10K. The 440 is a more sought after tractor less built and very few around with 100% 440 parts.Rarity doesn't always translate into a high price,gotta be someone that wants to shell out the big bucks that wants one.I have a Cockshutt 20 "Little Chief" one row offset version of the 20 less then 10 known to exist doubt it would bring that kind of money.
