I have looked at this discussion boards archives and have found a few references to these European Deeres, but have yet to find much data on these models. It seems that more and more are showing up on the farms in the midwest. I know that some of you that participate in this forum regularly can offer some info on these models. What are the basic specs of these tractors and how do they correlate to their US siblings. For example: I have read that the 3040 was built from '79-'86, was made in Germany for Europe and Canada, and was 76hp PTO and 90hp engine and is similar to a 2940. Could someone share the data on the other models I referenced pointing out their differences? Additionally what engines were in these models? This information would not only be helpful to me as I consider my upcoming purchase but will also be helpful to those that search the archives of this forum in the future. Thank You
