Many tractors used the engine block/head as a stressed structual member. An engine not designed for that loading will suffer rapid failure.
By the time parts are purchased, the engine swap will cost more than a total blueprinted rebuild of the origional. Worse yet re-sale will be scrap metal price only. Too many original parts get butchered or lost. Plus what is your time worth when you could have been productive elsewhere.
If it's a personal tinker project sure, but for practical useage likly not.
