First time I watched american graffiti told myself I need to get a car like the one Milner was driving.Saw the movie for the first time back in 1981,I was twenty years old.I think the movie originally came out in 1973,anyway went out and found myself a 1934 Plymouth five window coupe.Fixed it up and cruised the wheels off it and some late night racing as well.Years later I was at a hotrod show and Milner was there signing autographs,can't remember his real name.Told him about how the movie,him and his car inspired me to build a car and do the same thing he did in the movie.He got a real kick out of that. Today's Featured Article - Restoration Story: Fordson Major - by Anthony West. George bought his Fordson Major from a an implement sale about 18 years ago for £200.00 (UK). There is no known history regarding its origins or what service it had done, but the following work was undertaken alone to bring it up to show standard. From the engine number, it was found that this Major was produced late 1946. It was almost complete but had various parts that would definitely need replacing.
