Neighbor had a Black one, Black Knight?? I can not remember for sure but I think it was a 1070 ???
He was Case top to bottom. 970 open station, 1070, 1370,2470, 2670. 2870 and later a 4890. He and his brother where the first BIG farmers around here. 2500-3000 acres in the late 1970s. I remember the two BIG 4wds had some motor issues and they where Saabs??? He grew up with MF but went to case after he had bad luck with MF 1800 4wd. Really nice guy. Heart attack at 54 dropped him while cleaning out a grain bin. The brother still has a lot of those same tractors still working every year. The 2670 has been on a grain cart for as long as I can remember. It came with 30.5x32 tires and looked so mean with them. LOL
