I’ve got a couple of bonus things around the farm I want to get done this winter. The first is to get the driver’s door back on the 35 Chevy. I took it off two years ago to replace the wood on the latching edge and it has never made it back on. I use the truck everyday to chore and it can get nippy driving between farms.
I also want to get the pumper body off of the fire truck and get a bale bed on it. I have taken the front pump off and returned the bumper to its original position but that is where I have stopped. It’s got 3500 miles on it now (it had 2200 in the spring), so I still use it a bit like it is, but you sure can’t go under the radar going to town in a truck that looks like this. She’s a good old Ford so I put up with the stares.
Then there is the usual farm junk to fix each day. That would be why the old truck still has no door on it!
