For most of you today is the day your Christmas decorations have to be down.
But for some of us it is a little different. It is Twelfth Night. The night that marks the coming of the Epiphany. When the 3 wise men presented gifts to the baby Jesus.
You can celebrate it with a twelfth night cake or what we call king cake today. From Epiphany (Jan 6th) to fat Tuesday (day before ash Wednesday) is the carnival season or what you may know as Mardi Gras.
And so while most of you thought Mardi Gras was just throwing beads and drinking alcohol you can now see it has its roots in religion.
