I feel the best of any of the saws that Mcculloch made was the Super Pro series. The SP600, SP700, SP800, and on up were great running, fast cutting saws when tuned right. Yeah, they were heavier, but so is the wood you're cutting, unless you're cutting twigs. The 10-10's and 7-10's, along with the 60, 70 saws were also great saws. I've had 10-10's, 7-10's, 70's, 700's, and 800's, and they've all been easy starting, quick cutting saws. Never had one that started hard. I ended up using them less and less as I got a woodstove that burned less wood and was more efficient, so as they set longer and longer, I decided to sell them. They all brought good money for 35 year old saws. I kept only one, my first SP700 that was the first Mcculloch I ever had, so I could have one just like my dad's. It was well used when I got it, and I've used it a ton, and it still runs and starts very well.
