I am not positive but if I remember right My great Uncle , who worked as an engineer for Texaco , said" they bought the Indian refining company to get the patent on removing paraffin from motor oil". He is still alive and if anyone really wants to know for sure I could call him and ask him again. One thing that happened on the farm back in the late forties or fifties was Texaco came out to the farm and filmed a movie. I think the film was called something like "Bucky goes to the fair" Dad got a small part in the movie. He aslo said the actor kids who played the farm kids were scared of the animals and would walk 10 feet around a steaming pile of cow poop. he always laughed about that! I am sure my Uncle had a part in getting Texaco to use the family farm to film that movie. I wonder if That film could still be seen or if Texaco would still have the series they did back then.
