Let's try to clear this up. 1) Hitch types are described by "category". See http://www.speeco.com/3point.html for the dimensions and HP capacities of all hitch categories. 2) Live hydraulics means that anytime the engine is running, regardless of anything else, hydraulic power is available. 3) Live PTO means that anytime the engine is running, regardless of anything else, power is available to the PTO. In other words, the PTO is driven directly off the engine (flywheel) and NOT the transmission. 4) You didn't ask but "independent PTO" means that the PTO has its very own hand lever clutch. It does not share the engine/transmission clutch. 5) A "live, independent" PTO is the safest, most convenient PTO set-up you can have.
