And with that comes the "continued" evolution of the Earth. As someone else mentioned, we're still coming out of the previous ice age. So many want to scream that we're changing our planet. No, it's doing that itself. What we're doing has very little impact.
But "Oh! The polar ice caps are melting!" Yup. And they will continue to, until the next cataclysmic event blocks out the sun long enough to create another ice age.
How many know that dinosaur fossils have been retrieved from Antarctica?? Scientists keep finding more and more evidence showing that the Antarctic was once tropical. Most seem to think it was then a part of Pangea, but nobody knows for certain. Only thing that is becoming more and more clear is, all this ice & snow that we've become so accustomed to isn't actually supposed to be here. There will still be winter, mind you, but nothing like we have now, or have had. And each of us will be long dead and buried by the time the last of the ice is gone. The planet will be warmer, and they will then be able to grow food all over the world. Mankind might even become a predominantly underground dweller!
